| Now
you have additional brake options for your Speedway Engineering
Hubs with the introduction of dynamically Mounted Rotor Adaptors
to fit Wilwood and Performance Friction rotors.
Dynamically
Mounted Rotors have better brake feel, run cooler, align with brake
pads better and track truer with minimal distortion under maximum
braking pressure.
Conventional
brake rotors don’t run absolutely true. They all wiggle a
little bit. No matter how careful you are any bearing looseness,
rotor wear, manufacturing tolerances of the hub, rotor, and rotor
adaptor (or brake hat) all add up. This can cause low brake pedal,
less pad contact and in extreme cases can make your brake pedal
pulse.
This
is where dynamically mounted rotors come in. When you dynamically
mount a brake rotor you allow a small amount of movement axially
(side to side). When a brake rotor is spinning it can contain large
amounts of stored energy. Under Newton's first law of motion he
states that any body will continue in its state of motion (still
or traveling) until outside forces change it. What this means is
once the rotor is spinning it finds where it needs to be and stays
there.
Now
you can use dynamically mounted rotors on Speedway Engineering 2
inch bearing (howe/vogle), Wide 5, or Grand National hubs. |
